Project Closing Event
The Chairman of New Hope Birmingham Mr. Mohammed Foiz Uddin MBE MInstF has announced the successful conclusion of our project "Preserving the Cultural History of Bangladeshi Food" on 11th December at an auspicious ceremony. The project is funded by Heritage Lottery Fund. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Lottery Players for their support.
Distinguished guests include HM Lord Lieutenant Mr. John Crabtree CBE, Mrs. Beverly Lindsay OBE OD, Dr. John Craggs DL, Chairman, Board of Governors, Bishop Vesey's Grammar School, Speaker-Mr. Ron Skelton, Headteacher, Broadway Academy, Mr. Keith Stokes-Smith, President of Birmingham Commonwealth Association, Mr. Imran A. Chowdhury, Chief Executive, Centre for Policy, Promotion & Prevention, Martin Levermore MBE, FRSA, Chartered MCISI among other guests. The event was hosted by Clinton Siniwa and Chaired by the Chairman of New Hope Mohammed Foiz Uddin MBE. The project Coordinator Maruf Ahmed, PhD delivered the project final report. The chief guest Mr. Crabtree expressed his high impression on the activities of New Hope and wished that it will further strengthen the positive roles of the community members for the individual development and the development of Birmingham city. The event was concluded with the Biriyani lunch.
